Bourbon Street’s surface and underground infrastructure repairs

The City of New Orleans and the Sewerage & Water Board will begin a $6M repair of Bourbon Street’s surface and underground infrastructure by the end of April. The project will take approximately nine months to complete.

The project will start on the 100 and 300 blocks of Bourbon Street on April 24th, continue on the 200 and 400 blocks beginning on or around July 5th, continue on the 500 and 700 blocks beginning on or around September 5th and continue on the 600 and 800 blocks beginning on or around November 1st. The work will begin at 8am and end at sunset, Monday – Saturday. Each block will take 60-75 days to complete.

 

Parking will be restricted on side streets. Royal Street pedestrian mall hours will remain unaffected.
