North Rampart Street /St.Claude Avenue Streetcar Project: Roadway Asphalt Overlay Begins July 11, 2016

Signaling the end of construction along the North Rampart Street/St. Claude Avenue Streetcar Project, the RTA’s contractor will begin the asphalt overlay along the corridor on Monday, July 11.

The curb-to-curb overlay portion of the project will progress on one lane at a time starting with the inside lane heading from Iberville Street toward Elysian Fields Avenue.

The operation will then turn and continue from Elysian Fields Avenue to Canal Street. This progression will continue through the middle travel lanes and finally in the parking lanes.

During this time, there will be rolling lane closures, including the parking lanes.
