French Quarter Road Closure: Monday, March 23, 2020

Beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2020, weather permitting, a private contractor working for the Royal Sonesta Hotel will close the 700 block of Bienville Street between Royal and Bourbon streets to accommodate multiple crane lifts.

The contractor will be installing construction cranes on the roof of the Royal Sonesta Hotel in the 300 block of Bourbon Street. The road will reopen to vehicle traffic on Friday, March 27, 2020, at 1 p.m. 

Drivers traveling on Bienville will detour by making a left on Royal to Canal Street, then making a right turn onto Bourbon Street.
