Due to French Quarter Festival’s crowd size, vehicular traffic will be restricted in the French Quarter from Thursday, April 12th – Sunday, April 15th, beginning at 2:30pm until 11pm.
A full soft (or Mardi Gras style) closure of the French Quarter (between Iberville, North Rampart, Dumaine, and Decatur streets) will be in effect Thursday, April 12th – Sunday, April 15th. While the streets are closed to vehicular traffic, French Quarter residents, employees, hotel guests, and for-hire vehicles (taxis, limos, shuttle busses, pedicabs, carriages, etc.) will be allowed access as long as it is safe to do so.
A full hard closure of the 100 – 800 blocks of Bourbon Street (vehicles are prohibited from crossing) will be in effect Friday, April 13th from 4pm until 12:30am.
All vehicular traffic will be blocked for on-street stages located at 500 Royal, 400 Royal, 700 Bourbon, 600 Bourbon, and 100 Bourbon on Saturday, April 14th – Sunday, April 15th. A full hard closure of the 100 – 800 blocks of Bourbon Street (vehicles are prohibited from crossing) will be in effect Saturday, April 14th – Sunday, April 15th from 11am until 12:30am.
Access passes to be allowed past the checkpoints are available at the Eighth District Station (334 Royal Street) for residents, business owners, and employees.
