Free Testing & Services
Core Response and the New Orleans Health Department have organized a series of free, COVID-19 testing opportunities for hospitality workers. The first one is today – Thursday, July 2 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Bar Tonique (820 North Rampart Street, New Orleans 70119). Two other testing opportunities will take place at the same location and same time on Thursday, July 16 and Thursday, July 30.
No IDs and no symptoms are required to be tested. The tests will be self-administered oral swabs and results will be delivered in 3-5 days via email and/or phone.

Grants
The Greater New Orleans Foundation (GNOF) announced $547,000 in new grants from its Louisiana Service & Hospitality Family Assistance Program, an initiative to support low-income restaurant, hotel, bar, catering and event staffing company employees who have been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and who are working hard to support their dependent children and elderly parents. Total grants from the program now total over $1.2 million.
